The Grounded Table – Café & Catering Consultancy

1. Services Offered
The Grounded Table provides hospitality consultancy services, including but not limited to:
Menu development & optimization
Operational efficiency and workflow improvement
Brand and concept design
Staff training & support
Food cost management
Supplier sourcing & negotiation
Food safety documentation and compliance (HACCP support)
Website and graphic design support
Market research and data analysis
Start-up and launch guidance
All services are tailored to each client’s needs and agreed upon in writing before work begins.
2. Bookings & Consultations
A free consultation is offered to new clients.
Sessions must be pre-booked via email, phone, or online form.
Availability is limited and bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis.
3. Pricing & Payment
Pricing is discussed and agreed in writing prior to starting any work.
A summary of pricing (hourly, package, or project-based) will be sent via email and must be accepted before work begins.
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure the booking and commence work.
The remaining 70% is due upon completion, before final deliverables are handed over.
Payment is accepted via bank transfer (details provided on invoice).
Invoices are due within 7 days of issue unless otherwise stated.
Late payments may incur a 5% monthly interest charge on the outstanding balance.
4. Cancellations & Rescheduling
You may reschedule or cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice.
Cancellations within 24 hours may be charged at 50% of the agreed rate.
No-shows may be charged in full at the consultant’s discretion.
Deposits are non-refundable unless cancellation is made by The Grounded Table.
5. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to provide accurate and timely information relevant to the service.
Clients are responsible for implementing advice or strategies unless otherwise agreed.
The Grounded Table is not liable for outcomes dependent on third parties, such as supplier pricing, staff behaviour, or local regulations.
6. Confidentiality
All sensitive or proprietary business information shared during work will be kept confidential, unless required by law or with your express permission.
7. Intellectual Property
Any templates, tools, or materials created by The Grounded Table remain the property of the business unless transferred by written agreement. You’re welcome to use them in your business but may not resell or redistribute them without permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
While every effort is made to provide valuable, accurate guidance, The Grounded Table is not liable for direct or indirect losses resulting from the implementation of advice. All services are provided in good faith based on industry knowledge and experience.
9. Feedback & Testimonials
Clients may be asked to provide feedback or a testimonial, which may be used in marketing with their permission.
10. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated occasionally. All active clients will be notified of any changes in writing.
